Step out of the front door of The Chalet, and whichever direction you choose you’ll find a stunning footpath to explore.
We have provided lots of walking maps, books and route suggestions in The Chalet. If you’d like more, here are some ideas:
1) There are lots of walking opportunities within the North Devon Coast AONB (now know as the North Devon Coast National Landscape). Whether it’s a short stroll on the beach or exploring the South West Coast Path National Trail there is something for everyone. Downloadable leaflets and booklets are available from the North Devon Coast National Landscape website.

2) Braunton Countryside Centre offer guided walks led by local naturalists and historians. They also have a selection of downloadable, self-guided walks.

3) The National Trust own and manage much of the coastline in North Devon, including Baggy Point in Croyde and Morte Point and Bull Point near Woolacombe. They have numerous downloadable walking routes. Select ‘Things to see and do’ and scroll down the page to the ‘top trails’ section
