The Chalet in Croyde is an eco-friendly chalet that offers self-catering accommodation for up to 6 people. It's perfect for a holiday at any time of year.
The setting is stunning with views up and down Croyde valley. It's extremely private, but only a few minutes walk from the village and 20 minutes walk from Croyde beach.
We have filled The Chalet with personal touches to make your stay more comfortable. The Chalet allows you to relax and be close to nature. It's set in a beautiful garden and surrounded by fields with no immediate neighbours - the perfect place to unwind and recharge.
DOUBLE BEDROOM Plus a walk-in wardrobe with lots of drawer, hanging and storage space. Has a TV, mirrors and a selection of magazines.
TWIN BEDROOM Has a light and airy feel with lots of storage space including a chest of drawers, a large wardrobe plus a couple of mirrors. A cot is available on request.
BUNKBED ROOM Has a small wardrobe with drawer and hanging space, plus a selection of books and games.
OPEN PLAN LIVING AREA The living area is comfortable, light and airy with lots of large windows. There is plenty of sofa seating including a sofa bed. There is a TV, DVD player with a carefully selected, diverse range of DVDs, and a CD player. There is also a selection of books and plenty of local information. French doors lead out on to the back deck and garden.

DINING AREA This snugly links the living area and the kitchen. There are four permanent chairs plus two fold-away chairs. A high chair is available on request.
KITCHEN The kitchen is well equipped, with an oven, 4-ring ceramic hob, microwave, toaster, cafetiere, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
We know what it's like to try and cook with limited utensils, so have provided anything you may need for everyday cooking and dining. There are even a couple of recipe books. If you want to BBQ, there is a charcoal kettle BBQ available, with all the necessary coals and tools.
BATHROOM The family bathroom has a shower over a full size bath. There is also lots of storage space and a shaving point with light and mirror.
THE GARDEN AND DECKS
We particularly love the outdoor space and consider it an extension of the living space. The Chalet is very secluded, and surrounded by fields. It is set in its own independent part of our large, mature garden. It is completely private and has its own garden (some flat, some sloped), 2 separate decks for morning and afternoon sun, an organic herb garden and a rotary washing line. There is plenty of space for kids to play. There is outdoor seating for 6 as well as an outdoor dining area and a BBQ.
It is also wonderful for soaking up the sun, for evening drinks or for a BBQ after a hard day at the beach, surfing, or exploring the gorgeous Devon countryside. There is also a rustic seating area at the top of your garden with fabulous views over the countryside, the village and towards the beach and sea. This area of The Chalet garden is constructed from old tree stumps and has a focus of encouraging wildlife.
GUEST ACCESS
There is plenty of off-road parking for up to three cars.
The Chalet is uphill up a paved (but narrow and unlit) farm-track, less than 400m from the centre of the village.
The Chalet does not have disabled access, as there is a grassy slope and steps from the parking area to The Chalet.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
The Chalet is a completely NO SMOKING and NO VAPING property.
We provide all bed linen/duvets etc, but we do NOT PROVIDE TOWELS. Please bring your own towels.
There are electric heaters in all the rooms and hot water is from an immersion heater.
We do not recommend visiting without a car.
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets.

We use a key-safe to facilitate self check-in and make your arrival as smooth and convenient as possible.

* There is a key-safe for self check-in, so often we don't even meet. However, we are always available if you have any problems or questions, or need advice or tips about the area.
